Kehei

Kehei is Soren's most recent work and is scored for voice and Max. This otherworldly electroacoustic piece incorporates a number of mathematical algorithms controlling live pitch-shifting and live panning, giving the illusion of several voices singing all at once, despite having only one performer. Kehei is currently compatible with both Monophonic and Quadraphonic arrays, with an optional fifth output for the Quadraphonic version designed to be placed either in the center of the ceiling above the audience or the floor below. Kehei also utilizes an algorithmically-generated constructed language (or conlang) called Kjemju, created specifically for this piece. The lyrics are listed below, and a pronunciation guide may be provided if requested.

Kehei was first premiered at UNC Greensboro on May 3, 2022, and a commercial release is planned for sometime in 2023.

I apologize for the stark difference in fonts presented here; Times New Roman seems to be one of the only fonts to treat these diacritical marks rather well.
